Intermediate and Advanced Photographers are lucky to be able to take these incredibly informative classes locally!
ED KELLEY, "This course will consist of 4 classroom sessions and one on-location outing. The classes are geared toward those with DSLR, advanced point & shoot, or mirrorless cameras, or any digital camera that has a manual mode or manual override. The core principles will be the same. Class size is limited to 12 with a minimum of 6 participants to allow for as much individual instruction as possible, as I want each person to know the functions of their cameras.

Children ages 5-14 are welcome. Classes begin Tuesday, April 2, and meet weekly from 4:30-5:30. Tuition is $75 and includes materials.
Scottie Harris is well known in the community as a most gifted painter and instructor. She has painted under Parl Carlson; drawing/painting under Char Avrunin and colored pencils under Mark Menendez; she has been a demonstrator at Quick Draw, sold paintings at Gallery 86 and exhibited and sold paintings/drawings at 4 Iam Art Show/Fundraisers. She also had had many private commissions. In addition, Scottie has extensive experience working with children.
Classes will be based on on drawing from shapes and multi media color techniques. An outdoor lesson is being put together that will teach children how to observe and draw what they see.

DRAWING & PAINTING CLASSES FOR ADULTS - Instructor, Char Avrunin. Beginning, intermediate, advanced and artists looking for open studio space are welcome. Private lessons are also available. Contact Char at firstname.lastname@example.org to register or for more information.
Drawing classes are Mondays, March - April 8 (6 weeks), from 1:00-4:00. Tuition is $55 or $10 per class.
Beginners through advanced are welcome. Beginners will work with drawing implements, surfaces, blenders, erasers and work with basic shapes. Intermediates will learn values, textures, folds, negative space, drawing upside down, 2-D as opposed to 3-D, drawing shapes with a drape, vanishing point and griding. Advanced will cover Golden Mean (focal point), composition, 1, 2 & 3 point perspective, landscape and portrait techniques, framing and showing your work.
Painting classes are Tuesdays, March 5 - April 9 (6 weeks) from 1:00-4:00. Tuition is $55 or $10 per class.
Beginners will learn about acryllic, oil and watercolor: surfaces, brushes, paint, pallettes, pallette knives, so they may make an informed choice as to which media they would like use. They will also learn beginning color theory and make a color wheel. They will paint from life or photographs using value, shape and color. Intermediates will learn more color theory and value (using the Munsell Color Theory Chart), color temperature, saturation, hue, chroma, texture, glazing, and scumbling. Advanced will learn plein air, alla prima painting, grisaille and sfumato techniques, while continuing to work from life or photographs.
